Jay Kerschner has spent the past 25 years sharpening his executive leadership skills in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors.  His background includes six years of military service during which he led the Reactor Laboratory division and trained Navy personnel in reactor plant operations, radiological controls, and radiochemistry. Following his military service, Jay has been a practitioner and teacher of leadership and management skills as a business owner, manager, business executive and executive coach.  Jay has a passion for sharing the lessons he learned in the areas of communication, team building, and conflict resolution as he led an enterprise spanning six departments and three locations as its Director of Operations.  He holds his undergraduate degree from Concordia College and a Juris Doctor degree from Oak Brook College of Law and Government Policy.  As the Executive Director of American Water College, he has responsibility for the strategic and operational success of the organization.  American Water College provides industry specific management and technical training designed to help water and wastewater professionals achieve their career goals. Jay is excited to expand the reach of American Water College through it’s TrainingHub learning management platform which is available to water sector utilities
